Unit 2 Portfolio- Misbourne Second Prospectus

Unit 2 portfolio- Misbourne Second Prospectus

This time around, the style of the schools prospectus has completely changed. Straight away, you can tell that this prospectus is more informal and so it would appeal to students more than adults. The use of different super heros ranging from DC to Marvel with different teacher's faces, photoshoped on top, shows that the school have decided to have a one off, entertaining, front cover, to give the students a laugh. The type of font for the masthead and sub-headings have changed from formal to comic style text. Decreasing the covers formality even more. The sky blue background with clouds isn't something you wouldn't see for a backdrop as most covers don't use images for backgrounds, just a single colour. Overall, you wouldn't see so many colours for a prospectus  Usually,  a maximum of three colours would only be used for the masted, sub-headings and other text, which the first misbourne prospectus did use. In this case there are lots of different colours, from red to blue and green to yellow, the images also add more colour to the front cover making it brighter. The bright, yellow, star is an iconic image that comic illustrators use to show a "BOW" or "SMASH" to represent an action, something that would grab a readers attention.
